Introduction
A Pawnshop Within Everyone’s Reach
In big cities, there’s a pawnshop on almost every busy street. In the suburbs and regencies around them, families own gold, phones, and motorbikes, but the nearest official pawnshop can be a long ride away, and every ride costs time and money. So many ask a neighbour or a loan shark first. Natha Gadai is a new pawn business opening branches in these areas, where the need is high and the formal options are few.
We studied Pegadaian, Pusat Gadai Indonesia, and Pandai Gadai. Each has an app, yet each still sends customers back to a branch for something: signing up, repaying, or collecting the item. Natha’s app carries the whole pawn except two moments: handing over the item and taking it back. The estimate, booking, payments, extensions, and tracking all happen on the phone.

Where Natha stands
Pawnshops differ in how far they reach and in how much of the pawn their app can carry. Natha is built for the suburbs and regencies, with an app that carries everything between two visits.
